OPS Solutions has developed composite vessel design for water treatment technology. The concept can be used for water filtering or water injection systems for various process design parameters. The pressure vessels are designed according to DNV-GL C501. The design ensures low weight compared to steel and low maintenance cost for the composite structure.
To develop these PED category IV pressure vessels require highly skilled engineers and advanced production and test set up. OPS Solutions has build up in-house testing equipment for performing advanced fatigue testing of pressure vessels. The vessels are manufactured by using filament winding process, an advanced stable process providing excellent quality and process control. OPS Solutions has a large capacity 5 axis filament machine for production of composite pressure vessels. The pressure vessel prototypes have been subjected to full static and dynamic fatigue testing according to DNV-GL C501 and in addition the workshop and procedures for the vessel manufacturing has been verified by DNV-GL as a part of DNV product certification process.
OPS Solutions has excellent experience in performing time consuming and costly approval processes and is able to perform a qualification program for new applications very fast. The pressure vessels can be manufactured with or without a thermoplastic inner liner depending on the mechanical/physical and chemical loading. OPS Solutions has during several years developed a flexible liner technology (project funded by Innovation Norway) that is combined with the filament winding process providing excellent dual laminate properties. By using this liner technology the OPS composite pressure vessels can be used for many types of media (acids and alcaic solutions) in combination with pressure and high temperatures.
